Trip Description:
The Frostbite Music Festival brings together a mix of talented and widely recognized musicians from the local, national and international stage for three non-stop days of sizzling main-stage performances, workshops and dancing.
From the many genres of rock to the folk and jazz scenes to the cultural roots of Cajun, Celtic, Blues and First Nations music, the Frostbite Music Festival is as diverse as it is highly entertaining.
Adding to the Festival events, you will also enjoy three nights of viewing the electrifying and breathtaking Northern Lights, photographing Yukon wildlife on a guided tour of the Yukon Wildlife Preserve and relishing in a good soak at the Takhini Hot Springs.
 Itinerary: (5 days) Thursday, February 17
 We'll welcome you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel in downtown Whitehorse. It is located next to the Yukon River and within walking distance of all attractions, restaurants, banks and stores. We meet for an information meeting and fitting of winter clothing (optional) at the hotel. Afterwards there is time for shopping and dinner on your own. At 9.30 pm we'll depart for Aurora Borealis viewing. A cozy, heated cabin with hot drinks and snacks makes your Aurora viewing even more enjoyable. Return to hotel around 2.00 am.
 Sleep in the morning.10.30 am city tour with Main Street, Train Depot of the White Pass and Yukon Route, Log Skyscraper, Log Church, Sternwheeler SS Klondike, Fish ladder, Schwatka Lake and some residential areas. In the afternoon different optional tours are offered and in the evening, after dinner, you may attend some of the sessions of the Frostbite Music Festival. Around 10:00 pm we'll depart the city for our Aurora viewing at a cabin outside town to avoid the city lights. Return to the hotel around 2:00 am for a well deserved rest. ^TOP
 This day is reserved for the main sessions of the Frostbite Music Festival and a guided excursion to the Wildlife Preserve and the Takhini Hot Springs. From the comprehensive program you may choose the events that interest you most. Before or after these performances we'll drive to the Wildlife Preserve where you may observe and photograph most of the animals of the Yukon, such as Moose, Caribou, Dall Sheep, Stone Sheep, Buffalo and Musk Oxen. You'll then be able to relax in the hot waters of the Takhini Hot Springs before we'll return to town. By 10:00 pm we'll leave town for our last night of Aurora Borealis viewing. Return to the hotel by approximately 2:00 am.
 In the afternoon you may once again join the musicians and participate in workshops to your liking or join one of the optional tours. In between you may visit the downtown core on your own. Tonight is the grand finale of the Frostbite Music Festival and we are sure you do not want to miss this night out.
